No one can understand what it feels like to be black in America.
Most people would say that we live in a post racial society. A lot of people think that racism is as simple as getting called niggers and getting sprayed with water hoses; but it's much deeper then that. How many times have you been pulled over and you know for sure you weren't breaking any laws? How many job interviews have you been to and soon as you walked in you could just feel that you wasn't wanted there?
Racism in America is the most controversial topic of conversation but no one ever wants to talk about. Racism will never go away in this country because this country was never built for black people to be equal in any way. We can never be equal when the US constitution says that are black people is 3/5ths of a human; nor with us starting 400 years behind everyone else. To make matters even worse, whenever the topic of slavery gets mentioned, we are told to get over it. So if we get over slavery, that means we wouldn't even exist to this country; because according to the US educational system, our history doesn't even begin until 1619.
"We are nonviolent with people who are nonviolent with us" -Malcolm X.
IS the Black Lives Matter movement really for black people?
The definition of an insane person is to do the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. I find it funny how black people love to march every time their is an unjust killing of a black man in America. Growing up, our parents taught us to hit someone back if they hit you but we have somehow forgotten a significant principle except when it comes to each other. I also so find it strange that Black Lives Matter organization was founded and controlled by a caucasian person. I don't think we need an organization founded by a different race to help us organize, I just think we just simply need to stop having characteristics of an insane person. Instead of marching, lets first ask ourselves does black lives matter.
